Choose one kind of math fact

Addition facts

Use small addends when the learner is working on sums and number pairs.

Subtraction facts

Keep the starting number in view and check that the answer is smaller when both numbers are positive.

Multiplication facts

Practice multiplication facts with one-digit factors. Multiplication by 1 is omitted when other factor values are available.

Division facts

Division questions use whole-number quotients and do not include remainders.

Checks that catch common errors

Keep the order straight

Addition and multiplication can swap their two numbers without changing the answer. Subtraction and division cannot.

Use the inverse operation

Check 42 ÷ 6 = 7 by multiplying 7 × 6. Check 14 - 8 = 6 by adding 6 + 8.

Slow the timer when needed

If timeouts hide whether the learner knows the fact, choose a longer limit or turn the timer off for the next session.

FAQ

How many math facts should a child practice at once?

Choose the question count in the practice setup. Use a shorter set for a new skill and increase it only when the learner can finish without losing focus.

Does online math facts practice require sign-in?

Yes. Signing in saves the session result and keeps questions that need more work.

Can one session mix operations?

No. Choose addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division for each session so the practice stays focused on one operation.
